Built in the final decade of the eighteenth century, this delightful little church is home to some beautiful frescoes by Goya as well as being the painter's burial site.

The frescoes depict St Anthony of Padua bringing a dead man back to life so that he can give evidence in favour of his father who has been unjustly accused of murder. A carbon-copy of the chapel was constructed on the other side of the road in 1925 for religious services.

Tradition has it that girls looking for a boyfriend should dip their hands into the holy water at the ermita on St Anthony’s Day (June 13); if the pins that are dropped into the water stick to their hands they will find their desired partner.
