An almost obligatory stop at the end of a night on the tiles, the Chocolatería de San Ginés is tucked away in an alleyway off Calle Arenal and close to the night club Joy Madrid.

The chocolatería is the Spanish capital's most famous spot for serving up the traditional madrileño breakfast of chocolate con churros (piping hot dark chocolate with fried hoops of dough).
